No matter the weather, the event will still take place. Please plan on arriving at the observing site and in the event of inclement weather, a park ranger will direct traffic to a nearby building where the program will continue.
"Creatures of the Night Sky and Their Tails" Stargazing Event

Time: 6:45pm to 10pm
Where: Negwegon State Park
Join star lore historian, storyteller, author and director of the Headlands International Dark Sky Park, Mary Stewart Adams for a special speaker event to celebrate the history, art, science, and poetry of stars.
Telescopes for night sky observing provided by Besser Museum of Alpena.
This free of charge* special speaker event is hosted by the Friends of Negwegon.

*A valid Recreation Passport is required for every vehicle entering the park.
Bring blankets, chairs, and flashlights covered with a red cloth or red tape.

Turn east (right) onto Negwegon Park Road, go 1.5 miles to the parking area
