The sculpture entitled “Need A Hug” was made from found, or industrial scrap metal. The 3 large wrenches were donated from a local family with a long history of crushing rocks into gravel. The tools were used to maintain the equipment over decades of time. They were drawn out using a forge and hammer to form the base and stem. The leaves were formed by hand from left over copper that supported copper gutters on a historic building restoration project. The flower itself was made from heavy industrial banding used to lash ocean going freight. The pistil of the flower is made from stainless cable used for modern cable handrails.  Those 3 cables can be easily curved with your hands in the opposite direction changing the personality from “Needing a hug”  to “Need a hug?”

Sling Bag is handcrafted black leather straps with purple alligator inset. Two zippered pockets makes it stylish and functional.
